The All-New Camaro V6 Snarls, Pops and Crackles Like A Jag: Lease One From $329/Month, $0 Down (Expired)
Riding on architecture shared with the nimble Cadillac ATS, the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is quicker and more agile than before. It now offers genuine sports car levels of performance while still retaining its genuine blue-collar appeal. Here's everything you need to know about leasing one.
The Lease Program
The cost of leasing a particular car is determined by its lease program, which is set by the manufacturer, and the selling price, which is set by the dealer. Here is GM Financial's lease program for January 2016:
*Subtract 1% from residual for 12,000 mi/year. Subtract 2% from residual for 15,000 mi/year.
**Subtract 1% from residual for 12,000 mi/year. Subtract 3% from residual for 15,000 mi/year.
Selling Price
While the Camaro SS is quite something (0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds), we'd happily spec ours in LT trim with the mid-level engine option—a 3.6-liter 335-hp V6—and the six-speed manual. It sounds angry like this:
A 2016 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT with the V6 has an MSRP of $28,190. According to a third-party car shopping website, the average selling price of that model is $27,686 before incentives (Southern California zip code). The lowest selling price currently offered by a dealer on said car shopping site is $26,985 before incentives.
