Generally, our users fall into two groups.

On one end, the DIY crowd uses our platform to learn about the fundamentals of car shopping to negotiate a deal–we call it the Leasehackr Method. Our passionate community is here to help, offering plenty of tools and resources through our forum. Once you understand where to search and which number to tweak, you’ll realize it’s quite straightforward!

On the other end, not everybody is interested in becoming a leasing guru. Thankfully, the forum’s dealer and broker representatives post no-hassle deals on the Marketplace. Because deals are subject to community vetting, these offers tend to be more attractive than what consumers would find elsewhere. We also offer pre-negotiated deals that are Leasehackr approved, no dealer mark-ups or mandatory add-ons.

How was Leasehackr founded?

Leasehackr was founded in 2015 as a passion project by Victoria (@littleviolette) and Michael (@michael). Sharing the frustration around the opaque and seemingly confusing world of car shopping, we created Leasehackr to unearth the exciting possibilities of leasing when done in an informed way. Leasehackr quickly evolved from a humble blog to a community where buyers and sellers exchange insights and deals.

Through Leasehackr’s organic growth, we have worked tirelessly to keep Leasehackr true to its core — educating and empowering consumers to make better financial decisions. We hope to keep Leasehackr a helpful, community-powered resource with your participation and support!
