Signed: BMW X3 M40i at 6% off MSRP ($780/month including tax)
Due to the global microchip shortage, new vehicle production has slowed across the world.
The resulting vehicle shortage has led to slimmer discounts and historic high prices on new cars and trucks. What’s considered a “good deal” in today’s market is very different than in years past.
Take the 2022 BMW X3 M40i for example. This Leasehackr member managed to score 6 percent off MSRP on one — which is a good deal by current standards.
The vehicle was customer-ordered, as we recommend. An equivalent vehicle purchased off the lot would likely involve a market adjustment in the thousands.
If you can wait for a car, it’s far better to order one at MSRP, or better yet, a discount, than it is to pay a markup on an existing inventory vehicle.
